The optical protection lacquer OSL 1500 is our latest development of our synthetic artificial resin protective. By adding new specialty resins, we were able to improve the drying time, bond strength and significantly increase surface stability.
The OSL 1500 is mainly used as a protective lacquer in the optical production. Due to the improved adhesive properties, this lacquer can be used to protect matt or polished surfaces against water, certain cutting oils or other mechanical affects for a much longer time.
A detachment or contamination of the protected surface areas is thereby prevented at the same time.
The application can be done by brushing, spraying or dipping. Dilution of the lacquer may only be carried out with butyl acetate.
Flowtime: 17 - 20 sec. / 20°C / 4 mm nozzle
Drying time: max. 2 hours
Resistance to water: after 8 hours no change of lacquer film
Resistance to petroleum: resistant
Curing time: at least 6 hours
Solubility: acetone, acetone/spirit, butyl acetate
